“Today you are You,
that is truer than true.
There is no one alive,
who is Youer than You.”
My family is my world and they inspire me to be the absolute best version of myself. Everything I do, I do for them. I’m married to a super awesome artist/musician/all-around spectacularly world rocking dude, Jose. We met when we were 14 and have been inseparable ever since (that’s right, high school sweethearts). That incredible fella gave me the two brightest lights in my world — our sons Maximilian and Oliver.
My Happy Place
My ideal day would touch all the senses in the dreamiest way possible. It would begin with me waking up snuggled next to my soulmate under an oversized goose feather down comforter, smelling the coffee brewing in our favorite french press (because it would be so in my husband’s character to get out of bed to get it started and then jump back in with me!), with gentle sunlight pouring in the windows of a cottage in the woods that we dreamed up with an architect, a view of bright Autumn leaves on the outside (because Fall is the best season!), a morning fire crackling in the family room, the Pacific ocean would be just barely within earshot but close enough to walk or ride our bikes to, and our two adorably sweet and rambunctious kiddos would come running in to greet us with sleepy grins and the cutest case of bed head (with our two rescue dogs — Chewbacca & Leona — not trailing far behind).
After a quick stop at the local farmers market to grab some goodies, we’d head back our place to make a fresh juice and our traditional “epic breakfast,” as we like to call it on the weekends. After that, we’d get our bodies moving with some dancing and singing to Wild Child plus a little guitar playing, and later a bike ride for good measure. And then, since it’s Fall, my vote is for apple picking and pumpkin carving, with some marshmallow roasting over a campfire to round out the day!
Other things that make my world go ’round are vinyasa yoga, traveling, creating art with my love, playing Mario Kart, craft beer, being kind to the environment, live music, handmade things, antiquing, learning how to garden and sew, and supporting small and local businesses.
